SolarWhiz ("we", "our", "us") is a Philippines-based service that uses an expert-backed comparison algorithm to help users compare solar quotations from multiple suppliers.

2. Information We Collect

• Account data: email address and authentication identifiers.
• Uploaded content: the solar quotation PDFs and images you upload for analysis.
• Preferences: your budget, brand preferences, and comparison notes.
• Payment data: GCash reference numbers, screenshots of proof-of-payment, and amounts. We do not store card details.
• Usage data: log data, IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used to keep the service secure and reliable.

3. How We Use It

• To run comparison analysis on your uploaded quotations and return your comparison.
• To verify GCash payments and unlock your reports.
• To improve the accuracy of our comparison models in aggregate, anonymized form.
• To respond to support inquiries.
• To comply with legal obligations under Philippine law.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information with the analysis processing provider that generates your report and with our backend hosting/database provider. These partners are contractually restricted to processing your data on our behalf.

5. Data Retention

Your uploaded quotations and generated reports are retained in your account so you can revisit them in your history. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Rights (Data Privacy Act of 2012)

Under Republic Act No. 10173, you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Reach us through the contact page.

7. Security

We use row-level security, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and hashed authentication tokens. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong password and keep your login credentials private.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date.
